It is always fun photographing kids over the years. I first photographed Kate almost four years ago as an infant at the Goddard School. Since then Kate and I have gotten to know each other quite well. Almost too well, but that is just fine by me. Just a few short weeks ago Kate welcomed into the world her baby brother Richard. “Richie” was born March 31 at 9:03 am. This was the first time I photographed him but I know it will not be the last. I look forward to seeing him grow.

The Anna Foundation For Inclusive Education (AFFIE) held a silent auction on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at PJ Whelihan’s in Medford, NJ. AFFIE provides educational enhancements for children with Down syndrome participating in inclusive education settings through student tutoring, educational materials, and professional development for teachers.

Dr. LaDerrick “Derrick” Bullock, dentist at South Jersey Center for Advanced Dentistry in Marlton, NJ, was the winner of one of my gift certificates at the silent auction. In addition to being South Jersey’s top dentist for the last two years, Derrick has been raising a beautiful family with his wife, Tara. We had a wonderful photo session with Derrick, Tara, and their two children Aaron and Madison.

It isn’t very often that I get a chance to photograph my couples with their pets but when I do it is always a new experience.  Rebecca and Ari asked me if we could do their engagement session with their dog “Nava”.  Anybody who knows me, would know that I love all types of animals. So doing a few with “Nava” would be OK with me. Nava (a Bouvier in case you were wondering) was very energetic, and you can tell she loves the attention.

After “Nava” was done,  we continued with the engagement session strolling through the streets where Rebecca and Ari lived. Thanks to both of them for a great afternoon.
